We at RediBagUSA are excited to announce the opening of our new distribution center in Austintown, Ohio. This expansion marks a significant milestone in our journey to better serve our customers as the go-to packaging and storage solution for major retail, grocery stores, and fast-food chains across the United States.
Expansion with New Distribution Center
Our new distribution center will be located in the former General Electric coil plant building at 280 N. Meridian Road. We recently acquired this 124,285-square-foot facility through North Meridian LLC and WM 49 RE LLC. The building, which has been vacant since GE closed its Austintown coil and Niles glass plants in 2008, will now be repurposed to support our expanding operations.
Our facility at Austintown will be a central distribution hub for our products. This new center will be our tenth distribution facility, adding to our existing operations in Hubbard, Ohio, and Sharon, Pennsylvania.
Our CEO, Jeffrey Rabiea, emphasized the strategic importance of this new location, noting its central position in the country, which will facilitate efficient distribution to our nationwide customer base.
“We supply the nation’s largest supermarkets and quick-serve restaurants with our products, so we are on an expansion trend right now. It made sense to open another facility in the Hubbard area,” Rabiea stated. “This was available, and we decided to take a look at it, and we purchased it. It’s central to the country, so it makes sense for us.”
Gearing up for Operations
We are currently in the process of preparing the building for its new role. This includes wiring, installing WiFi, and setting up racking systems throughout the facility. We anticipate that operations will begin in the building within the next four to five weeks. Once operational, the North Meridian plant will contribute to the local economy and provide new job opportunities in the Austintown area.
